On Thursday 12th September 2019, Preston Teaching School Alliance held a conference focussing on classroom management and behaviour management/assertiveness for the current cohort of School Direct teacher trainees.
The objectives of the day were to understand what a well-managed classroom looks like, to learn techniques to become an effective classroom manager, to understand the benefits of and how to use group-work in lessons and how to use teaching and learning strategies to assist in behaviour management.
The conference was delivered by staff from Archbishop Temple School.
The day provided a range of useful strategies for the trainees prior to beginning their first school placements on the course.
