On Thursday 14th September 2017 Preston Teaching School Alliance held a conference focussing on classroom and behaviour management for the current cohort of School Direct teacher trainees.
The objectives of the day were to understand what a well-managed classroom looks like, to learn techniques to become an effective classroom manager, to understand the benefits of and how to use groupwork in lessons and how to use teaching and learning strategies to assist in behaviour management.
The conference was delivered by staff from Archbishop Temple School and Pool House Community Primary School.
The day provided a range of useful strategies for the trainees prior to beginning their first school placements on the course.
